Small office comes up big
EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (AFPN) -- Senior Airman Theresa Velasquez removes a rivet on an AIM-120 fin using a fixture created by the munitions materiel handling equipment focal point here. Before the crew had this piece of equipment it could not change the locks and had to send the fin off for a depot-level repair. This process would have taken at least a month and now it is done within minutes inside the shop.
