Maintaining the fortress
ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam (AFPN) -- B-52 Stratofortress mechanics inspect their aircraft during phase maintenance at Hangar 1 here. The Airmen are members of the 2nd Maintenance Squadron based at Barksdale Air Force Base, La. The B-52s come here from a forward-deployed location and go into phase maintenance after 300 flying hours.
