ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam (AFPN) -- Staff Sgt. Jesse Moen (right) briefs Capt. Marquette Moore on the status of arriving and departing deployed aircraft at the control tower here. Sergeant Moen is an air traffic controller, and Captain Moore is an operations flight commander with the 36th Operations Support Squadron. The Airmen coordinate movements of military and commercial aircraft through radar and visual observation. They closely monitor each plane to ensure safe distance between aircraft.
