Cytology
LACKLAND AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFPN) -- Cytotechnologist Arlene Murphy views a cytology slide on the computer-assisted microscope. The new enhanced program combines the power of computer-assisted primary screening with human expertise, allowing the Cytology Center to go from reading 75,000 slides annually to 215,000, with an increase in diagnostic confidence, sensitivity and productivity.
