Ammo warriors keep close-air support of U.S., Coalition forces a reality
BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan (AFPN) -- Senior Airman Edward Stottlemyer inspects a bomb fuse initiator. The FZU-48/B supplies electrical power to the FMU-139 electrical tail fuse on a built-up GBU-12. Since Sept. 15, the 455th munitions flight provided more than 23,000 rounds of 30mm ammunition, 15,000 countermeasures, 103 rockets, 14 500-pound air burst bombs and nine laser-guided bombs in support of the ongoing global war on terrorism.
