SOUTHWEST ASIA (AFPN) -- Master Sgt. Stephen Nicholas creates a parking sign for one of the facilities here. To create signs, Sergeant Nicholas designs the lettering on a computer, cuts sheet metal to an appropriate size and shape, then applies the lettering and protective laminate. Sergeant Nicholas and other structural maintenance technicians maintain and repair hundreds of buildings here. He is an Air Force Reservist deployed from Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich.
