BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq (AFPN) -- (Left to right) Tech. Sgt. James Goetz deployed from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, and Tech. Sgt. Weldon Bales deployed from Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. mixes Pavemend a quick set concrete as Senior Airman Tad Sindler deployed from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., pours water into the buckets of quick set concrete to mix it faster. Sergeant Goetz and Airman Sindelir are part of the 332nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron Spall Team and Sergeant Bales is the 332nd Expeditionary Operation Support Squadron Airfield manager, they work together to identify and fix cracks and fragment in the Balad airfield.
