Base photographers document history for future generations
IRAQ -- Airman 1st Class Jamie Shultz photographs a local child outside Ali Base on a security forces mission to interact with locals and provide them a point of contact to call if they see suspicious activity in the area. Touting an M-16 rifle and 30 pounds of camera equipment, the photographers often leave the safety of the installation's perimeter to document missions affecting Airmen. Airman Shultz is a photographer with the 407th Expeditionary Communications Squadron base multimedia center. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Maurice Hessel)
