Hurricane hunters on the heels of Hurricane Ophelia
OVER THE ATLANTIC OCEAN -- First Lt. Tina Young examines data gathered while flying into the eye of Hurricane Ophelia on Sept. 14. As a member of the Hurrican Hunters, the lieutenant relayed weather information directly to the National Hurricane Center to help people along the east coast prepare for the approaching storm. Lieutenant Young is an aerial reconnaissance weather officer with the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron that has temporarily relocated from Keesler Air Force, Miss., to Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga.
