Volunteers help keep Airmen safe by searching vehicles
ALI BASE, Iraq -- Airman 1st Class Michael Townsend volunteers to search a vehicle at the 407th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron's visitor control center here. The center's workers are the first line of defense against terrorist acts occurring here. Airman Townsend has volunteered three times to screen vehicles to protect the more than 9,000 U.S. servicemembers and coalition forces here.
