Reserve improves safety, floor space on rescue helicopters
DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- Senior Master Sgt. Michael Flake checks out the new, more ergonomic crew cabin seats being installed in Air Force Reserve Command HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopters. By the end of the year, all 15 of the command's HH-60Gs will have new seats as well as new fuel tanks in the crew cabin area, giving pararescue and special operations teams more space to operate during combat-search-and-rescue missions. Sergeant Flake is the lead engineer for the seat replacement project and is assigned to the 305th Rescue Squadron here. (U.S. Air Force photo by Fred Cusick)
