Earth friendly Falcon fill up

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- Senior Airman Trevor Smith prepares to refuel an F-16 Fighting Falcon here July 6 using checklists and techniques that are part of the environmental management system. Refueling aircraft on the flightline is considered an aspect of environmental awareness because of the potential effect even the smallest fuel spill could have on soil, groundwater or surface water. Airmen Smith is assigned to the 354th Logistics Readiness Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Anthony Nelson Jr.)
