Weather launch
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- A Delta II rocket carrying a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration weather satellite launches from here May 20. The NOAA-N satellite will monitor environmental events and improve weather forecasting worldwide. NOAA-N is the fourth in the current series of five polar-orbiting satellites with improved imaging and sounding capabilities. The spacelift commander for this mission is Col.
