New course helps Airmen get combat ready

SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Staff Sgt. Kathleen Franklin discusses the pump used for a mobile gas station with students in the fuels apprentice course here. Airmen attending the course are now required to complete a seven-day contingency course, getting them two to three months closer to combat-ready status after arriving at their first base.
