Elmendorf doctor to lead pack in Iditarod
CHUGIAK, Alaska -- Maj. (Dr.) Thomas Knolmayer prepares for a training run with his dog team Feb. 27. On March 5, he will be the only active-duty servicemember to begin the 1,131-mile Iditarod sled dog race from Anchorage to Nome.
