BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq -- Lt. Col. Scot Shively welds a loop on the 727th Expeditionary Air Control Squadron's entry control gate here recently. The colonel, who commands the squadron, and other squadron Airmen are trained and qualified to do a variety of jobs to remain a completely self-sufficient, self-contained mobile unit. The Airmen of the 727th EACS are deployed from the 728th Air Control Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. They arrived here in January. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Adam Bradford)
