Oh snowy day
MANAS AIR BASE, Kyrgyzstan -- Senior Airman Nicholas Newsome rests between snow-shoveling sessions on the flightline here. Because of quickly accumulating snowfall, Airmen took shovels to clear the runways. The base received five inches of snow in two days. Airmen here were not fazed; they launched more than 22 sorties, handling more than 1,500 passengers. Airman Newsome is assigned to the 376th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.
