56 teams compete at ROTC basketball tourney
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Cadets from Virginia Polytechnic Institute try to penetrate the defenses of the Notre Dame Air Force A-team during the championship game of the 19th Flying Irish Basketball Invitational here Feb. 6. The Notre Dame men defended their championship title with a victory over VPI, 31-23. The tournament, which featured 54 teams this year, is the nation's largest athletic ROTC event.
