OVER THE PACIFIC OCEAN -- A C-5 Galaxy maintains contact behind an aerial refueling tanker here. The C-5 provides the Air Mobility Command officials intertheater airlift supporting U.S. national defense. Four turbofan engines power the aircraft, rated at 43,000 pounds thrust each. Each engine weighs 7,900 pounds, has an air intake diameter of more than 8.5 feet and is nearly 27 feet long. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Lance Cheung)
