Secretary tours new museum
CHANTILLY, Va. -- Retired Maj. Gen. Joseph T. Anderson (left) explains future growth plans for the National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar Hazy Center here to Air Force Secretary Dr. James G. Roche on Dec. 21. Secretary Roche was at the center to view the Imax film "Fighter Pilot: Operation Red Flag." Following the film, Secretary Roche said, "This is an exquisite testimonial to why each and every Airman comes to work every day." The film follows a young American fighter pilot through his experiences at Red Flag, the international training exercise for allied air forces. General Anderson is the associate director of the center. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Jim Varhegyi)
