Airmen revive adopt-a-village program
KHAROTI, Afghanistan -- Staff Sgt. James Kamrad shakes hands with young villagers waiting for school supplies to be distributed during a recent adopt-a-village visit. The 455th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron force protection intelligence Airman visits local villages often, which he said he enjoys because he gets to learn about local Afghan culture. Sergeant Kamrad is deployed to nearby Bagram Air Base from Pope Air Force Base, N.C., supporting Operation Enduring Freedom (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Jennifer Lindsey)
