Airmen revive adopt-a-village program
KHAROTI, Afghanistan -- Senior Airman Jason Weiss lightly rubs behind a villager's ears to see if the man experiences discomfort, which is one of the common symptoms of a sinus infection. Through an interpreter, the Afghan shared complaints of facial pain, a stuffy nose and sore throat with Airman Weiss who treated him with medication. In about three hours, the medical technician evaluated and provided minimal treatment for about 60 patients. He is deployed to nearby Bagram Air Base from Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Jennifer Lindsey)
