YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Staff Sgt. Ken Abernathy checks the inventory sheet for expeditionary medical support pallets during an inspection at a warehouse here. An EMEDS kit is a modern field hospital that can fill as many as 30 cargo pallets. The kit contains more than 1,100 equipment items.
