Museum receives 11,000-pound stone roller from China
DAYTON, Ohio -- U.S. Air Force Museum technician Roberta Carothers measures a recently donated stone roller before its display in the museum's air power gallery. The stone roller was used to compress gravel for runways as long as 8,500 feet in Kunming, China. The runways were used by the Flying Tigers and other aircraft during World War II.
