PETALUMA, Calif. -- Students at the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy here navigate the high ropes course during training. The exercise allows students to apply what they have learned about teamwork, trust and self-confidence outside the classroom. The academy reserves 40 slots a year for Air Force senior noncommissioned officers to attend the five-week course. (U.S. Air Force photo by Chief Master Sgt. Brad Gildea)
