The 'Challenge' continues
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Staff Sgt. Brian Belam tightens down a silo power cable during the missile maintenance team exercise, a Guardian Challenge event. Sergeant Belam is part of a team from the 91st Space Wing at Minot Air Force Base, N.D. Guardian Challenge takes place here May 2 to 6 and tests the wartime readiness of teams representing each missile and space wing unit from Air Force Space Command. Competition events include timed exercises in missile-crew operations, missile and space maintenance, spacelift operations, space and missile communications, missile code controllers, helicopter operations, chefs and security forces.
