Goodbye my friend
DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. (AFPN) - Staff Sgt. Jason Winge touches the case containing the remains of his friend and partner, Eiko. The 3-year-old military working dog died of complications following surgery. The pair deployed to Southwest Asia supporting operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom for 192 days. Eiko's ashes were buried behind the K-9 facility here, and a tree was planted in his memory. Sergeant Winge is assigned to the 355th Security Forces Squadron. (U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Lanie McNeal)
