RHEIN-MAIN AIR BASE, Germany -- Senior Airman Luke Mailander fits Airman 1st Class Dan Carbon with night-vision goggles during his preflight equipment check. Airman Carbon is a C-17 Globemaster III loadmaster with the 817th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron and deployed from Charleston AFB, S.C.
