Getting an 'IDEA'

TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Michael Simmons (left) and Calvin Haugen earned $10,000 under the Innovative Development through Employee Awareness program. The two men recommended the Air Force not digitize technical orders for the C-141 Starlifter, an aircraft system headed toward retirement. The suggestion saved the Air Force an estimated $141,340. Both men are assigned to the logistics directorate's accessories division here. (U.S. Air Force photo by Margo Wright)
