Thunderbolt II at rest
NAVAL AIR STATION FALLON, Nev. -- An Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II stands ready to provide close-air support here as part of Desert Rescue XI. The aircraft is from the Connecticut Air National Guard's 118th Fighter Squadron. The joint-service combat search and rescue training exercise simulates downed aircrews behind enemy lines and allows airmen to practice rescue-related missions. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
