AF Raven B operators maintain 'eyes-on' for ground forces

Airman 1st Class Shane Corcoran launches an RQ-11B unmanned aircraft system from Camp Bucca's Burge Field in Iraq Feb. 25. Requiring neither runway nor launcher, the Raven B is ideal for tactical-level intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions. Everything needed to operate the system can fit into a rucksack, and the UAS itself can be launched by hand or from a vehicle. Airman Corcoran is an 887th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron Raven B operator. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Thomas J. Doscher)
