B-52 presence demonstrates global strike capabilities
Airman 1st Class Jason Stromberg straps down a live 750 pound M117 bomb onto a specialized bomb lift for loading on to a B-52 Stratofortress. The 96th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron will later drop the bombs on the Farallon de Medinilla Target Range; an uninhabited island located about 150 miles north of Guam. The bomber's participation in constant training helps emphasize the U.S. bomber presence, demonstrating U.S. commitment to the Pacific region.
