The plaque placed at the Senior Airman Jason D. Nathan Gate stands as a reminder of the fallen hero June 1 at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England. Airman Nathan was mortally wounded by an improvised explosive device June 23, 2007, while supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom on a combat patrol in Tikrit, Iraq.
