Physical therapy keeps Airmen fit to fight
Maj. Jesse Richardson (left), the 379th Expeditionary Medical Group physical therapy element chief at an air base in Southwest Asia, performs isometrics on Senior Airman Adam Carter Feb. 19 for an ankle sprain as Staff Sgt David Garcia, NCOIC of the physical therapy clinic, observes. The physical therapists concentrate on injuries involving ankles, knees, hips, back and neck and work to get warfighters back on the job as soon as safely possible. They also travel around the base talking to individuals and groups about ways to prevent injuries. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Andrew Satran)
