Fire it up
Members of the 332nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron and 8th Ordnance Company fire departments put out a vehicle fire with a bumper mounted turret hose May 19 at Balad Air Base, Iraq. Pump and roll procedures, which encompass the ability to drive and fight a fire simultaneously, are vital to extinguishing vehicle fires. Doing practical applications of firefighting techniques that mimic possible real-world situations is the best way to ensure the firefighters are prepared at all times.
