Energy conservation at Charleston AFB, S.C.

Rob Smith levels the supply and return lines Feb. 18 for part of a heating, ventilation and air conditioning system being installed at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C.. Currently, there are four HVAC installation projects taking place at facilities where outdated, inefficient heating and cooling equipment is being replaced with new, energy-efficient equipment and controls to help the base conserve energy.
