Medical professionals hone patient care skills

Tech. Sgt. Tommy Mattox describes symptoms of an anaphylactic shock "patient" to Master Sgt. Carlos Rodriguez and Tech. Sgt. Kevin Allen during an aeromedical evacuation training sortie Feb. 19 on a C-130 Hercules flying over southern Germany. Capt. Stephanie Ellenburg, a flight nurse instructor played the role of the patient, was also evaluating the response of the medical team. The flight-qualified healthcare providers, assigned to the 86th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, fly weekly with the 37th and 38th Airlift Squadron's C-130 fleet to remain proficient in their skills. Sergeant Mattos is an aerospace medical technician, and Sergeants Rodriguez and Allen are healthcare providers. (Defense Department photo/Master Sgt. Scott Wagers)
