FARALLONS BATTERY MISSION
A crate of new photovoltaic batteries is sling-loaded to an HH-60G Pave Hawk Feb. 17. The helicopter and its crew, from the California Air National Guard's 129th Rescue Wing at Moffett Federal Airfield, Calif, are supporting the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service by transporting the batteries to power a lighthouse and workshop at the FWS research facility on the Farallon Island, which sits some 30 miles west of San Francisco.
