FARALLONS BATTERY MISSION
An HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter from the California Air National Guard's 129th Rescue Wing at Moffett Federal Airfield, Calif., rises to take the slack out of a sling line attached to a crate of photovoltaic batteries. The unit is supporting the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service by transporting the batteries to power a lighthouse and workshop at the FWS research facility on Farallon Island, which sits some 30 miles west of San Francisco.
