FARALLONS BATTERY MISSION
An HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter from the California Air National Guard's 129th Rescue Wing at Moffett Federal Airfield, Calif., transports a cargo of photovoltaic batteries by sling. The unit is supporting the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service by transporting the batteries to power a lighthouse and workshop at the FWS research facility on Farallon Island, which sits some 30 miles west of San Francisco.
