Wilford Hall team transports critically ill infant
Medical personnel from Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, and Scott and White Hospital move an 8-month-old child onto a portable extracorporeal membrane oxygenation transport cart as they prepare to move the child from the Temple, Texas, hospital to a hospital in San Antonio. The Air Force team put the critically-ill baby on ECMO, a heart-lung bypass machine, on Feb. 9 to save her life. (U.S. Air Force photo)
