Sprucing up the Air Force Memorial
More than 50 volunteers from Air Force Sergeants Association Chapter 300 in Washington D.C. gathered on the grounds of the Air Force Memorial April 19 to help spruce up the site. Dedicated on Oct., 14, 2006, the memorial honors the service and sacrifice of the men and women of the United States Air Force and its predecessor organizations. The wall bears the inscriptions of combat campaigns and expeditionary operations and contains the words of Air Force leaders that relate to the service's core values of Integrity First, Service Before Self and Excellence in All We Do. The memorial is located just outside the nation's capital in Arlington, Va., adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery and overlooking the Pentagon. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Master Sgt.
