Pitsenbarger re-honored at Moody after 42 years
Chief Master Sgt. Brian Douglas unveils the monument with retired Chief Master Sgt. Dave Milster and retired Lt. Col. Harry Obeirne, dedicated to the men and women in the Air Force who were recipients of the Medal of Honor at Moody Air Force Base, Ga., April 18. Colonel Obeirne participated in the recovery of the body of Airman 1st Class William Pitsenbarger, after his death. Chief Milster, a pararesuceman, participated in Airman Pitsenbarger's final mission in Vietnam April 11, 1966. Chief Douglas is the 38th Rescue Squadron superintendent.
