AOR emergency managers gather at Balad to hone skills
Master Sgt. Stephen Jakle helps Staff Sgt. Amber Albano put on her oxygen mask before she investigated an unknown powder substance during a training scenario at Balad Air Base, Iraq, April 17. The suits worn by the Airmen allow them to respond to real world situations and can protect against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear materials. Being confident and comfortable with their equipment allows emergency managers to focus on the task at hand. Sergeant Jakle is deployed to the 407th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron as an emergency manager at Ali Base, Iraq. Sergeant Albano is deployed to the 506th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron as a emergency manager at Kirkuk Regional AB, Iraq. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Julianne Showalter)
