Airman sheds 115 pounds to work on F-22s in Alaska
Derrick Bell enlists in the Air Force Reserve Jan. 15 at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. Airman Bell is the newest enlisted member of the 477th Fighter Group, a Reserve unit responsible for recruiting, training, developing and retaining Citizen Airmen. In only 11 months, Airman Bell lost 115 pounds to meet physical standards for the Air Force Reserve. Today he is preparing to attend technical training to work as an F-22 Raptor crew chief.
