Staff Sgt. Michael Reece and Airman 1st Class Matthew Kahai cut a door off a car during vehicle extrication training April 5 at Balad Air Base, Iraq. Extrication training teaches firefighters how to rescue people trapped in vehicles. Sergeant Reece is a reservist from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., and Airman Kahai is deployed from Minot AFB, N.D. Both are 332nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron firefighters.
