Airmen foster community relations in International Zone
Capt. Ben Washburn hands out toys, school supplies and clothes while on foot-patrol in an apartment complex Jan. 10 in the International Zone of Baghdad, Iraq. The items were gathered by a group of volunteer servicemembers at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, called the Kids of Iraq. The items come from donators in the United States. Captain Washburn is the 732nd Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron Det. 4 operations officer. He is deployed from Vogelway, Germany, and is a native of Colorado Springs, Colo.
