Patient perspective

Medical technicians and doctors at the Air Force Theater Hospital emergency room work to stabilize a "patient's" leg injury with a traction splint March 8 at Balad Air Base, Iraq. The emergency room staff provides patients with initial critical care and evaluates the next course of action for each trauma patient. As a whole, the 332nd Expeditionary Medical Group delivers full-spectrum care to Department of Defense beneficiaries, coalition partners and several injured host-nation patients. The staff shown belongs to the 332nd Expeditionary Medical Operations Squadron. The photo is taken from the patient's perspective. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Senior Airman Julianne Showalter)
