WWII vets fly
Veterans of the famed 442nd Regimental Combat Team and the 100th Infantry Battalion climb on board the "Spirit of Go for Broke" March 13 at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. After waiting for more than a year and a half, the men for whom it was named finally get their ride on the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. They took to the skies for a 45-minute flight around some of the Hawaiian Islands. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Tom Czerwinski)
