C-17 Reaches Across the Globe
Master Sgt. Daniel Buse of the 734th Air Mobility Squadron reviews forms from a C-17 Globemaster III while a C-17 is reconfigured to carry two Mine Resistant Ambush Protected, or MRAP, vehicles on Dec. 28, 2008. It is Master Sgt. Buse's job to make sure the jet is air worthy. One MRAP will be picked up at Andersen AB, while the other is picked-up at Kadena AB, Japan, in support of the commanders on the ground that are combating the war on terrorism in Afghanistan. The C-17 crew started out at Hickam and this mission illustrates the global reach capabilities of the Air Force across the globe. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech Sgt. Cohen A. Young)
